Flint ("Flint," "we," "us," or "our") operates flint-investing.com and all associated mobile and desktop applications (the "Service"). Flint is a non-custodial cross-platform investment management tool that lets you view, manage, and execute trades across your brokerage accounts and cryptocurrency exchanges from one interface.
We are not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or custodian. We never hold, control, or have custody of your investment assets. All trades and transfers are executed through your existing accounts at your explicit direction.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use the Service. By using Flint, you agree to the practices described here.
When you connect a brokerage account, cryptocurrency exchange, or bank account, we receive — with your explicit authorization — the following data through secure third-party connectivity providers:
We access only the permissions you grant during the connection flow. We never receive or store your brokerage, exchange, or bank login credentials. Authentication is handled by the connectivity provider; Flint receives only an encrypted access token.
We may receive limited information from identity verification services, fraud prevention providers, or referral partners consistent with their privacy policies and any consent you have provided.
We use the information we collect to operate and improve the Service. This includes providing portfolio aggregation and cross-platform investment execution, processing your subscription, verifying your identity, preventing fraud, sending you transactional and support communications, improving product features, administering referral programs, and complying with our legal obligations.
We do not use your financial account data to build advertising profiles or for any purpose unrelated to providing the Service. We do not make automated decisions about your finances without presenting them for your explicit review first.
If you have questions about any specific use of your data, email support@flint-investing.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Flint uses AI-powered features to help you analyze your portfolio, interpret natural language commands, and surface insights across your connected accounts.
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where a longer retention period is required by law.
No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@flint-investing.com.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your data. To exercise these rights, email support@flint-investing.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity first.
Financial information collected in connection with providing our investment service is governed by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (see the notice at the top of this page). Your rights over this category of data may differ from rights under state consumer privacy laws.
Financial information collected by Flint in connection with providing investment portfolio and trade execution services may be exempt from certain CCPA rights under the GLBA exemption (Cal. Civ. Code 1798.145(e)). Non-financial data — such as device data, usage analytics, and AI interaction logs — is fully subject to CCPA rights.
Identifiers (name, email, IP address); customer records information (financial account and transaction data); commercial information (subscription and billing records); internet and electronic activity (in-app usage data); and inferences drawn from the above to understand service usage patterns.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide a "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out mechanism before any such activity begins.
Our referral program may offer credits or discounts for referring new users. You may opt out at any time by stopping use of your referral code or contacting us. Any incentive reflects the cost of providing the reward, not a monetary valuation of your personal information.
Email support@flint-investing.com with the subject "California Privacy Request." We will respond within 45 days, with one possible 45-day extension.
Flint is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, contact us at support@flint-investing.com and we will delete the information promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above, notify registered users by email, and display a notice within the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
